Hearing Evaluations Done Right

You get what you pay for.  Often, when people think of a hearing test, the first thing that comes to mind is being seated with headphones and raising one's hand in response to "beeping" sounds.  Part of the reason for this is because all too often, that is the extent of the hearing test.  In other words, there is a reason it is given away for free.

To truly evaluate a patient's hearing and determine whether hearing aids are appropriate, and if so, which ones, the test battery has to go above and beyond "beeping" sounds.  At Hear Well Again Centers, not only do our audiologists determine a patient's thresholds for sound, they also evaluate speech discrimination and auditory processing ability, and then follow up with objective tests such as otoacoustic emissions and acoustic immittance measures to determine which part(s) of the ear are not functioning properly.

Once a person's hearing ability has been established, we're only halfway finished.  Next, we administer a questionnaire and interview each patient about their unique listening needs.  This is to ensure that you get the hearing aid that is right for you, rather than what's right for the average person with your hearing ability.

Our evaluations, while not free, are covered by most insurance plans.
